IRT General Staff

The Incident Response Team (IRT) at Arisia is the Area responsible for responding to incidents and situations at the convention that involve member behavior, especially in relation to violations of the convention’s Code of Conduct (CoC) policy.

Load-In Volunteers

Load In takes place on the Wednesday and Thursday before con. Wednesday’s work is at the NESFA club house in Somerville, Massachusetts and will probably only take a few hours. It involves packing things into a truck so they can go to the hotel.

Load Out takes place Monday of the con, starting midday, with a little bit of work Tuesday morning.

Logistics Truck Drivers

RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive 24-26'' size box trucks around the city and on highways (~30 miles).  At least 5 years driving experience preferred. Experience with driving large vehicles a plus. Travel will be between the NESFA clubhouse in Somerville, Arisia storage in Haverhill and to the Westin Hotel in Boston and back.

The Main Stage Area Head is in charge of most Main Stage events (stage plays, shadowcasts, on stage dance performances etc.). Some of the event runners from previous years have been contacted and a rough schedule has been made.

Masquerade Lighting Designer

Arisia’s Masquerade is usually our largest event. Design of the lighting for each entry is made during the rehearsal process - providing up to 40 opportunities for creating mood.

Typically, the designer will run lighting for the Masquerade show itself. Pre-con coordination with the Main Stage Lighting Designer will ensure that an appropriate palette of possibilities is provided.
