Arisia is just as much a convention for kids and teens as for any other age group. Associated adults for these young fans should make sure to read our Youth Policies and Code of Conduct.
Babysitting (for ages 18 months to 5 years)
Given the large number of families who come to Arisia, we are happy to be able to provide programming for our youngest fans. By prior registration, we provide supervised childcare for those too young to enjoy the convention on their own. All children using this service must have special Babysitting memberships to the convention. See the Babysitting page for more details.
COVID Policies: While we recommend that children in Childcare make their best effort to wear masks and follow our convention-wide COVID policies, we recognize that this is sometimes difficult with younger children. Our professional childcare team will be wearing masks at all times when in convention spaces, including in Childcare. You can see our convention-wide COVID policies here.
Kid-in-Tow (Limited membership)
Kid-in-Tow memberships are free. The child must be with and under the supervision of an authorized adult with a paid membership at all times. Arisia requires that there be at least one supervising adult accompanying every three Kid-in-Tow members. KIT members are welcome at the Kids Programming and all other age-appropriate spaces at the convention.
Kids Programming (intended for audiences aged 5-12+)
New for Arisia 2026, we intend to offer Kids' Programming on Saturday and Sunday mornings in the first two program timeslots. These programs will be for kids and their adults - no unaccompanied adults will be admitted. We are still finalizing the program options, please stay tuned.
Teen Lounge (Meeting space for ages 13-19)
Teen Lounge is a space for teens only; it is run by teens, for teens. The Teen Lounge can be used to hang out, meet other teens, play games, and generally relax and have fun over the course of the con in a safe, comfortable space.
The hours of Teen Lounge will be posted on the door. All members are asked to respect the rules posted in Teen Lounge, for the enjoyment of all the teen members. Teen Lounge is staffed by at least one teen volunteer at all times. For more information on Teen Lounge, please contact Click here to show mail address.
COVID Policies: All Teen Lounge attendees are expected to follow our convention-wide COVID policies, including in the Teen Lounge. You can see our convention-wide COVID policies here.
Options for Free-Roaming Students
In addition to the Teen Lounge, kids ages 9 and up are also welcome to the tables in the Gaming Room, can check out the great stuff in the Dealers' Room/Creators' Corner, and visit the Con Suite. We recommend that everyone make it up to the Art Show and see the amazing diversity of creativity on display!
Costuming
We highly encourage costuming as a creative outlet. We are happy to see your child's imagination at work, but please make sure that hall costumes do not impair visibility or mobility. Safety first!
Children under the age of 13 can enter the Masquerade as a Young Fan, which is a special division where the younger fan who has created a costume (adult help is fine) can participate in the Masquerade with the adults. See the Masquerade page for more details.
